CARITAU JAKARTA -  Academy Awards ke-96 atau Piala Oscar 2024 baru saja mengumumkan daftar lengkap nominasinya. Dipersembahkan oleh Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, ajang penghargaan tertinggi di industri film dunia tersebut akan digelar pada 10 Maret 2024 langsung di Dolby Theatre Los Angeles, California.

Dalam daftar nominasi tahun 2024 ini, film ‘Oppenheimer’ berhasil masuk dalam 13 kategori nominasi. Sementara itu, posisi kedua ditempati oleh film ‘Poor Things’ yang memperoleh 11 nominasi. Kemudian, film Killers of the Flower Moon mendapat 10 nominasi. Sementara itu, film Barbie memperoleh 8 nominasi.

Film karya Christoper Nolan tersebut berhasil masuk nominasi Best Picture, Best Director untuk Christoper Nolan, Best Actor untuk Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor untuk Robert Downey Jr., Best Supporting Actress untuk Emily Blunt dan juga Best Adapted Screenplay.
 

Film yang dirilis tahun 2023 ini mengisahkan tentang seorang fisikawan Amerika Serikat bernama J. Robert Oppenheimer yang mengembangkan bom atom. Diperankan oleh Cillian Murphy, film ini diangkat dari buku yang ditulis oleh Kai Bird dan martin J. Sherwin yang berjudul ‘American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer’.
